Laying foundations for the future in the lead up to Paris 2024

The Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024 aims to be one of the most responsible, inclusive, equal and spectacular Games to date. We expect next year’s Games will be amazing, inspiring, and humbling in equal measure and as the Official Payment Technology Partner Visa will be offering its support in many tangible ways.

Helping communities to prosper & grow
• In France we launched “Pas Sans Vous” with Sport Dan La Ville, leading non-profit, supporting young people through sports and job readiness training to provide opportunities and investment in the Seine Saint Denis area of Paris Region. Visa will be funding the creation of three new sports centers, a mentoring program for girls, as well as sponsoring the Youth Solidarity Festival (July 2024).

Supporting athletes to achieve their Olympic and Paralympic dreams
• We presented our Team Visa Roster for France: 12 athletes that embodies Visa’s wider values of equality and inclusion, through equal number of athletes for both the Olympic and Paralympic Games and parity of female and male representatives. Team Visa Athletes are selected based on their personal journeys to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, athletic achievements and community involvement.
• Visa became the Official Partner of INSEP, France's National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance, to support an even greater number of athletes in their preparation for the Olympic and Paralympic Games through Financial Management training programme.
• Visa has been the proud Worldwide Payment Technology Partner for the Olympic and Paralympic Games for almost 40 years, the first global sponsor of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and has sponsored every Paralympic Games since 2002.

Helping business, economies and individuals to thrive!
• Visa is bringing its expertise to enhance the transit experience in host cities such as Lyon and Marseille, enabling tap-to-pay on transit and making the experience for citizens and visitors easier and more convenient.
• Visa's small business inclusion programme in France will provide local small businesses with digital payment solutions as well as tools and infrastructure to operate effectively and extend their reach in France and abroad. In addition, a new initiative by Visa will help to boost SMB sales by offering tickets to their customers for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
