Visa and Banque Populaire join forces to bring young people closer to the agricultural world

Visa and Banque Populaire have joined forces to create meetings between young urban dwellers and farmers in order to better discover the agricultural world and encourage dialogue and bridges between these two worlds.

An operation carried out with Sport dans la Ville and the Farmers Have Heart

Banque Populaire and Visa are united in their desire to act in favor of equal opportunities and inclusion. This is why they have chosen to collaborate on the occasion of the SIA 2024 to create a meeting between young urban dwellers and farmers.

While Banque Populaire regularly collaborates with the Farmers Have Heart, Visa sponsors the Sport dans la Ville association, the main association for professional integration through sport.

"While the number of farms has fallen by 20% in 10 years and half of French farms are run by farmers of 55 or more, generational renewal is a key issue for the agricultural world. We are pleased to have been able to create a meeting place for farmers and young urban dwellers, to help them discover the richness of the agricultural world and its professions," explains Loïc Guitton, Agriculture Market Manager at Banque Populaire.

On the programme: discovery of the agricultural world and professional meetings

These meetings will take place over two days and will mobilize about twenty young people from the Ile de France. • On February 29, 2024 from 10 a.m., stand 4 F077: professional meetings around the professions of the agricultural world
• These meetings will mobilize a dozen young people who have expressed a professional interest in the agricultural world to Sport dans la Ville.
• To answer their questions and facilitate their first professional steps in the field, they will meet entrepreneurs and influencers from the agricultural world in the morning. The afternoon will be dedicated to the meeting of professionals from the sheep and cattle sector.
• Debrief of the day at 4:30 pm on the Banque Populaire stand
• On March 2, 2024 from 10 a.m., stand 4 F077: workshop "discovery of the agricultural world" in the presence of the Farmers Have Heart
o These meetings will involve about fifteen teenagers who are raised in an urban environment.
o On the program: in the morning, meeting influencers and entrepreneurs from the agricultural world. The afternoon will take place in the Vegetal area, in particular with milk manufacturers.
o Debrief of the day at 4:30 p.m. also on the Banque Populaire stand
