WATCH: How Dubai’s Innovation Center Paves the Way for the Future of Payments

The Dubai innovation center sits at the heart of Visa’s business development, helping Visa’s clients and partners in the CEMEA region to collaborate, co-create and explore the future of commerce and the impact of new technologies on the way we shop, pay and are paid.

The center was founded on a philosophy of collaboration and a mission to work with clients and partners to shape the future of commerce. This can be anything from envisioning the future of retail and urban mobility that lies at the heart of every city to building innovations for small merchants to help them grow their businesses – realised in purpose-built Experience Zones.

The Innovation center is an ideal platform for partners and clients to build upon technologies such as Tap to Phone, face payments and Pay on Delivery developing smarter payment solutions, while also creating cutting-edge technologies that leverage the blockchain, IoT, VR and biometrics.

Featuring state of the art collaboration and co-creation facilities, partners including governments, fintechs and clients from more than 90 different markets can come together to develop innovative seamless payment solutions. The success of the Dubai Innovation center has made it a core component of growth and product development in the region as Visa continues to shape the future of payments and commerce. Dozens of patented technologies and solutions have been built at Visa’s global network of Innovation centers, including in Dubai.

Hear from Akshay Chopra, Vice President, Head of Innovation and Design at Visa CEMEA and Yobel Muchang, Senior Engagement Manager, Innovation and Design, Visa, on the realization of Visa’s vision to develop the Dubai Innovation center into a hub of commerce; providing individuals, businesses and economies the access they need to grow and thrive.
